Qualifications
- Bachelors in any relevant field (marketing, creative writing, journalism, etc.)
- 5+ years experience as a marketing copywriter
- Portfolio of your work, showcasing a range of short-form copy
- Understanding of small business & mid-market customers and how to effectively message to them
- Knowledge of SEO keyword search and how to properly implement it in appropriate copy
- Knowledge of Google Workspace
Key Responsibilities
- Write all short-form copy, including ads, emails, social, web pages, direct mailers, in-app messaging, and any other copy needs
- Work closely with the VP of Marketing to develop content strategies across all stages of the funnel
- Synthesize business goals, marketing, and campaign plans to create content strategies in a customer-centric way
- Interpret technical information and GTM strategy, creating persuasive copy concepts across customer buying stages
- Help create the brand voice and tone so all content is cohesive and consistent
- Serve as SME for the brand voice and editorial style guidelines
- Collaborate with team leads and creative staff from concept development to delivery of final deliverable
- Partner with designers to create the most impactful and cohesive content
- Use market response and learnings to curate more lead-generating messaging
- Identify content trends, best practices, and changing consumer preferences to ensure teams are up to date with industry dynamics and producing innovative content
- Additional copywriting duties as assigned, such as executive presentations and press releases
